The CFMEU FFPD has been running campaigns to pressure government to respond to the concerns of our members for many years.

Campaigns are coordinated closely with members in the area/s affected by decisions of government and regulators.

Current campaigns include:

  • Anti Dumping Campaign

  • Campaign to Support the Pulp Mill proposal for Bell Bay in Tasmania to create local jobs and build the Tasmanian economy

Pulp Mill Proposal in Tasmania
 
At last year’s Tasmanian state election, the Labor government and the Liberal opposition both went to the polls supporting Gunns’ Tamar Valley Pulp Mill, proposed for the state’s north. Together the parties attracted nearly 80 per cent of the vote.
