Without Union Collective Agreements, regular wage rises are at a bare minimum. Through sticking together and presenting a united voice, union members earn higher wages, receive regular pay rises and have better conditions than workers on individual contracts or in non-union workplaces.Higher Wages
The Union has a team of industrial experts to assist you to negotiate pay rates and working conditions that suit you and your workplace. Typical union agreements last for between one and three years and deliver wage increases in each year of the agreement as well as better working conditions.

Union members are involved in negotiating their working conditions with the assistance of the Union. The union has negotiated conditions such as industry super, 24 hour income protection insurance, a 36 hour week, full pay out of sick leave on retirement, better redundancy pay and much, much more.
Protection at Work
Our industrial organisers have solid experience in the Union and the industry. Our industrial organisers check up on health and safety, resolve grievances and provide expert advice if you have been unfairly dismissed or victimised, harassed or bullied in the workplace.
Support if you are Injured at Work
The Union has specilaists ready to assist you if youa re injured in the workplace. This assistance can range from ensuring that your pay is correct, referring you to rehabilitation services, representing you at tribunal hearings, obtaining medical opinions and assisting you woith help in the home.
