An article from page 3 of The Age newspaper in Melbourne outlines an appalling case of systematic workplace bullying in a truss and frame factory in Sunbury.

CFMEU furnishing products Secretary Leo Skourdoumbis described this as the worst bullying case he had seen in his twenty years as a union official and accused the employer of exploiting the workforce.

Update: 30 April 2010

The Fair Work Ombudsman has offered to assist the Union in legal action against Sunbury Truss and Frame. CFMEU National Assistant Secretary Leo Skourdoumbis has said the union would work with the Ombudsman. The union is to launch ''adverse action'' proceedings against the employer for alleged breaches of workplace rights. WorkSafe is also investigating the allegations and police have been notified.
